![]() Even if I have some things happen to me later in life, it was worth it. Thanks to decades of research at st.jude they have increased the survival rate to high 90% survival rate of A.L.L, I'm thankful to be a survivor with very little side effects. Just 70 years ago, childhood leukemia, A.L.L (what I had) was pretty much a guaranteed death sentence. ![]() They give hope to alot of families who have little to no hope and have to come to terms with someone being at peace instead of living a fulfilling life. So is she happy for what St Jude did for HER, or for her daughter. I thought this was really weird and although I feel a little bad for judging anyone with a sick child, I can't understand the mentality of this woman. this really irritated me, as it seems she is more concerned with her own enjoyment than the life of her kid. "Now, because of St Jude, I'll have many more years to enjoy with my child, and can watch her grow up and will get to be at her wedding and she will give me grandkids - oh ya, and my daughter will be able to live her life." For some reason. It's almost like she's making it all about her rather than her daughter. In it, a mother talks about how St Jude was instrumental in saving her daughter's life, but rather than saying how much she appreciates St Jude, and how much her daughter means to her, she talks about how because of St Jude, she can now watch her grow up, and her daughter will be around for her to enjoy even longer. I typically do not hate St Jude commercials, but the latest one really bothers me.
